Love Cookie Jennifer Ashley
April 1, 2002
Like a game of fortune
after orange chicken
or moo-shu pork:
You will explore new territory
Spiritual bliss awaits you
In your patience, you'll find reward
The meaning of each unfolds
with a new addendum: in bed
On the wedding day,
they have tulle and tulips,
a dance for distraction.
But when night falls
and guests drift away,
it is just the two: bare
for the first time.
Fingertips on hip's white
skin. The brush of bone
on bone. The eye lock.
They'll soon have
pillow talk and pet names:
My little love cookie,
I was created for you
And yes, this sex
will lead to dancing.
